Jabberwock, a tradition of Delta Sigma
Theta since 1925, is the major fund-raising event for North Dallas Suburban
Alumnae.
Jabberwock proceeds provide scholarships and funds to support local
community programs. To date, NDSA has issued over $150,000 in scholarships
and $25,000 in funds for local community programs due to the efforts of
chapter members, Jabberwock participants, their families, and community
supporters.

Members of NDSA support the participants in various ways to raise funds for
the event. The most notarized activity is an annual golf tournament.
The culminating event for Jabberwock is the Miss Jabberwock Pageant.
Participants for the Miss Jabberwock Pageant are college-bound ladies who
have an interest in high-achievement and community service. Every
participant
is a winner! Each young lady receives a scholarship during the Jabberwock
Pageant. The amount of each scholarship awarded on pageant night is directly
related to the amount of funds raised throughout the year by the
participant.
