Initiated in the fall of 1997, Rise and Fly Together (R.A.F.T.)
is a signature program of the North Dallas Suburban Alumnae Chapter. The
program is designed to promote academic and personal excellence through
supervised youth activities. Activities are interactive and concentrate on
academic achievement, cultural enrichment, personal development, and goal
setting for lifetime achievements. The participants engage in discovery
activities that help them to identify and present their life dreams and to
formulate plans to reach those goals.
R.A.F.T. exposes the participants to the importance of education, the arts,
environmental and physical sciences, financial planning, health and fitness
awareness, social action, and community service. R.A.F.T. promotes and
encourages its members to uplift their life expectations and teaches that
their goals are achievable through positive activities and experiences.
The program is open to both girls and
boys between the ages of 6 and 16. For more information on this program and
eligibility requirements,
